HSE Manager

• Manage HSE Teams: Oversee the HSE teams at the Vlissingen and Opole yards;
• HSE Plans: Prepare and execute project HSE plans, HAZCONs, and risk assessments as required;
• Policy: Ensure that HFG HSE policies are effectively communicated and implemented at all levels of the organization;
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to HSE standards and policies across the organization;
• Tenders and Contracts: Provide accurate HSE input in tenders and contracts and ensure requirements are incorporated into project plans;
• Stakeholder Interaction: Act as the HSE point of contact for third parties, clients, subcontractors and other external stakeholders.

• Develop and maintain HSE standards and ensure alignment with industry best practices;
• Liaise with clients on HSE matters and maintain strong communication channels;
• Develop and roll out behavior-based safety programs for both HFG and subcontractor personnel;
• Conduct and manage HAZCONs and risk assessments;
• Investigate incidents, recommend corrective actions, and ensure follow-up and close-out;
• Prepare tender reviews and assist with contract reviews;
• Advise HFG personnel on HSE-related issues and provide training as required;
• Ensure subcontractors and critical suppliers comply with project HSE requirements;
• Attend and facilitate third-party HSE audits and conduct internal and external HSE inspections as needed;
• Execute internal and external HSE inspections and audits where required.

As an HSE Manager, you are a self-starter with the ability to interpret and apply relevant HSE documentation and legislation into practical processes. To be successful in this role, you have:

• A BSc HSE Qualification HVK / IVK / NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent;
• At least 10 years’ experience of HSE management in yards, maritime or offshore environment;
• Prior experience in a fabrication yard environment is preferred;
• Knowledge of applicable HSE legislation and industry standards;
• Other relevant HSE education, including but not limited to HSE audit qualifications, eg incident investigation.
• Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch proficiency is a plus)

You will work at the yard of Heerema Vlissingen in Nieuwdorp.
