Silent piling innovation to reduce underwater noise

Together with the University of Dundee's School of Science and Engineering, Heerema is working on 'silent foundations' that will remove the need for loud hammering. We are proud that DNV GL has now awarded a Statement of Feasibility to both concepts that are under development.

How to measure airborne sound?

To create valuable insights and generate actionable data on the sound levels produced during offshore installation, Heerema used the CAM iV64 to localize and visualize the sound from offshore piling operations to measure airborne sound levels.
