COVID-19 Heerema Response

As the impact of the ongoing Covid-19 (coronavirus) pandemic continues to affect us all, Heerema is working to support our people and our communities.

Our priority is to protect the welfare of our workforce, and when the Covid-19 outbreak first began, we formed a Corona Response Team. This team mobilized to safeguard our employees and our company. The group continues to meet every day using digital tools to monitor the situation closely and to make decisions in line with government guidelines and medical advice.

Our global workforce is now working from home. This measure is an outstanding success due to the dedication, professionalism, and absolute commitment shown by employees. On our vessels, management teams have introduced stringent actions to protect the crew. Their protocols are thorough and will safeguard our offshore team, who continue to deliver the highest quality of work every day. These measures include intensive medical monitoring, daily temperature checks, and strict cleaning and personal distancing rules.

We are working round the clock to ensure that Covid-19 causes us minimal disruptions. So that we can continue to deliver the safest and most reliable work for our clients and suppliers.

The Covid-19 pandemic has put enormous strain on each of personally as we get used to this unprecedented situation. Heerema expresses gratitude to medical and other emergency workers at this time. We value your efforts immensely. We have so far donated spare masks and protective suits to emergency workers, and we have also given the use of company cars to medical personnel. We are in the process of investigating the use of our 3D printers to contribute to the demand for medical equipment, and we will continue to offer support wherever we can.
