At Heerema Marine Contractors, we do something new every day. We operate the world’s largest crane vessels and with them we transport, install and remove offshore structures for the offshore energy markets. Our projects range from installing wind turbines, removing retired offshore oil and gas platforms and installing platforms up to 50,000 metric tons. Your role in the story

As Rigger Foreman you will be managed and supervised by the Shift Foreman, lead your team and supervise the execution of work on deck. Your daily tasks and responsibilities include the following:

  • Implementing offshore construction activities in a safe manner in accordance with Heerema procedures and in collaboration with the Supervisor;
  • Organise and guide the designated rigging and construction works;
  • Lead a team assigned to you and pass on instructions to the Crane Operators;
  • Interrupt and remedy all unsafe situations.

Who will you work with?

You will work closely with our professional and experienced crew on deck, on the bridge and in the engine room.

Is this the job for you?

It is, if you have:

  • A vocational or bachelor diploma in a relevant subject;
  • Additional training in rigging & slinging;
  • Affinity with the offshore industry and heavy lift projects;
  • Offshore experience with executing and supervising large on-site construction works;
  • Preferably 2 years' or more experience as Rigger Foreman or Deck Foreman / Bosun in an offshore environment;
  • An excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.

Heerema has a 5 weeks on / 5 weeks off working schedule but this may fluctuate due to the nature of our activities.
